Description

Silverado Memory Care Community offers several volunteer opportunities for Bay Area residents. Volunteers may choose to visit and socialize with patients, read aloud, or give a musical performance. Special volunteer programs include Pet Interaction and Memory Catchers. Pet interaction volunteers bring their dogs for visits with residents. Memory Catchers volunteers get to know a Silverado hospice patient, hear about their life and memories, and then create a memory book, photo board, or CD/DVD for the patient's loved ones. Volunteers interacting with patients are generally supervised by Silverado staff.
