Description

The BSN support group is for caregivers of patients who suffer from Lewy Body Dementia (LBD), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), and Atypical Parkinsonism. Generally, 20 to 35 caregivers attend meetings, and some come from as far away as Lakeport and Monterey. Caregivers meet in smaller groups based on disorder. Discussion is guided by volunteers who have lost a loved one to that disorder.

Eligibility

-For caregivers only. A caregiver is anyone who has concern for another. Meetings are not limited to those doing hands-on caregiving.
-There is no cost for the meeting, but most attendees order dinner at the cafe (separate checks).

How to Apply

The support group meets 9 times a year (approximately once every 6 weeks). Call 650-814-0848 or email robin.riddle@brainsupportnetwork.org to confirm meeting dates, location or register for a meeting. Registration is required by noon the Saturday before each meeting.
